This full moon will be exact at 28 Pisces on September 20, 2021 at 7:55 p.m. ET/ 4:55 p.m. PT/ September 21, 2021 at 12: 55 a.m. UK

Recent days have likely found us contemplating what is the ultimate meaning of it all, regarding whatever type of work, activities or projects we may be engaged in, even just daily self-maintenance. This full moon shines in contrast to that line of thought, highlighting what we've devoted ourselves to with zealous fervor. Seen through this critical lens of "what, exactly, is the point," it may be somewhat easier to discern how much of that devotion is actually worth our limited time, and which aspects are ready for the compost bin.

The Sun, from whence the Moon's light shines, is also closing in on an impending conjunction with Mars, signaling the end of a two-year cycle. Before our will to act can be renewed in early October, it must first be purified in the flames of the spirit. While it may be difficult to see exactly what we or others want at this time, we may find ourselves stirred to defend the rights and well-being of others. And perhaps, by extension, what justice or peace we would desire for others will point to what exactly it is we would like for ourselves, though may be unwilling or unable to admit.

Add this information about Mars to the Moon's tendency to re-create circumstances of childhood trauma when located in this third decan of Pisces, and we could find ourselves realizing that we've devoted ourselves to illusions that doesn't actually serve us in return.

While our imaginations blending with our feelings about these topics can make it difficult to see the issues clearly and objectively, a trine from Mercury to Jupiter, the current rulers of the luminaries, can lend a hand in diplomatic deliberations. Discussing these issues with a trusted friend or therapist or writing about it in a journal can be helpful in sorting out the feels from the reals.

The realizations that accompany this full moon may take time to process, and Mercury's upcoming retrograde is likely to provide ample opportunities to sort through it all backwards and forwards several times. But, as with all full moons, use this time to take stock of what is truly worth your continued devotion and what is best to let go over the next six months.
